Pure Water Systems BEV-Series Drinking Water Filters / Purification Systems
have been laboratory tested and certified to conform to the
BEV standards for purity and bio-compatibility.

Pure Water Systems was founded in Lubbock, Texas in 1985 to distribute the original BEV water purification products under the Universal Water label. Due to difficulty obtaining products, customer service and support we ended the distributorship in 2002.

The next six months were spent testing dozens of water purification products. What became obvious was every brand of purifier currently on the market leaves consumers exposed to one class of contaminants or another. Only one other company (based in Germany) was producing a BEV purification system—and they offered only one model that was prohibitively expensive.

The German system, using only reverse osmosis and carbon filtration suffered from the same problems all “typical” reverse osmosis systems experience: poor rejection of boron, fluoride, and nitrates (to name just a few).

Continued research revealed only a combination of purification technologies, like those used in pharmaceutical or semi-conductor manufacturing, would remove ALL contaminants. Development efforts focused on reducing the size of large, ultra-pure water systems to a configuration that would be affordable and appropriate for residential use.

Our primary goals in designing a water purification device that would meet BEV standards were:

1. The system should remove ALL contaminants that might be present in drinking water.
2. The system should be engineered to provide decades of service, not months or years.
3. Construction and craftsmanship should be of the absolute highest quality allowing us to offer a lifetime warranty.
4. Manufacture our own parts whenever it is determined an industry standard part is prone to failure.
5. Use only the highest quality parts for each component, and not worry about cutting corners in an attempt to save a few pennies.
6. All components should be made in the USA.

After more than 12 months of R&D the BEV100 and BEV300 systems were ready for production in early 2003.

Our designs represent the absolute state-of-the-art in water purification and are recognized to be the most effective and technologically advanced systems available. They completely eliminate all contaminants and pollutants found in tap water, while producing drinking water meeting the rigorous Vincent (BEV) standards for purity and biocompatibility.
